A Tour Of The Senses

John M. Henshaw

book

2012

A detailed and extensive introduction to the science and psychology of sensation. This book also explores technological developments for artificial sensing, the current understanding of interplay between our various engines of perception and the role memory plays in our efforts to decode and organize the information gathered by our sensory faculties.

Structure

In a direct, tightly organized text, Henshaw provides a basic grounding in the current understanding of each sense in turn. Placing our reliance on and taking-for-granted of,  just how much we are formed by our perception into a highly readable and thought provoking form.
