Vaara

One of perfumeries' genuine travelers, Bertrand Duchaufour, delivers an olfactory sketchbook of the gardens and palaces of Jodhpur. Rose, quince, sandalwood, saffron, coriander, magnolia. Commissioned by the Maharaja of Jodhpur as an evocation of his world, this is one occasion where a client's approval is a reliable stamp of authenticity. Vaara describes an open, breezy, filigree realm of resonant, living aromas shifting gently in the orange Jodhpur light.
